To learn more about Animal Hospice in general, I suggest taking a look at the organizations I mention in my recent post on Animal Hospice Resources.
In the Puget Sound area, I recommend Purrfect Pet Services for hospice and home care. They offer many services, including veterinary technician services in your home. You can also find great resources through The AHELP Project, including a monthly Caregiver Support Circle. I also recommend Dr. Sara Hopkins at Compassion 4 Paws. She has experience treating canine cancer patients. Also, consider supporting local business, Paws & Save Seattle — they specialize in pet care and supplies and always know about the best deals in town!
In Louisville, Kentucky, reach out to Gail Heller of Chance’s Spot. She has many resources that will help with pet loss support, hospice and educational programs for both adults and kids.
Unfortunately, New England Pet Hospice & Home Care has shut down their doors. You can request their resource list by sending an email to heather@NewEnglandPetHospice.com.
